On November 24th, the Equal WUST representation — Vice-Rector for Community Development and Integration, Prof. Karolina Jaklewicz; Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Accessibility, Prof. Katarzyna Jach; and Head of the Department of Training and Community Development, Aleksandra Tomaszewska — took part in the symposium “Well-being of Employees and Learners in the Higher Education and Science System”, organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Warsaw.
During the event, Prof. Karolina Jaklewicz and Prof. Katarzyna Jach presented the University’s experience and selected good practices in supporting the mental well-being of the academic community. Among the initiatives discussed were the work-life balance research at our university, the Equality, Diversity and Well-being Policy, and the “Find Your Balance” campaign. The Professors also presented the new grant program "Parents to science!" and talked about the initiatives of Accessibility Leaders.
The symposium also provided an opportunity for participants to share effective practices from their institutions, exchange experiences, and establish new collaborations with representatives from universities and organizations across Poland.
