For the first time, Equal WUST took part in the Economic Forum in Karpacz. The University was represented by, among others, Prof. Karolina Jaklewicz, Vice-Rector for Community Development and Integration.

Prof. Jaklewicz joined a panel discussion on freedom of speech - one of the core civilizational values and fundamental human rights. The conversation focused on the growing challenges of public debate in the age of polarization, disinformation, and online hate, and on how to strike a balance between the right to express one’s views and the responsibility that comes with it.

The Forum also provided space for important conversations on diversity, the situation of women in science and on the job market, and the challenges faced by younger generations. Highlights included an inspiring meeting with Minister Maria Mrówczyńska from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as discussions with researchers and university leaders from across the country.

WUST was also present with its own booth and the WUST Zone, where panel sessions and meetings with student organizations were held.
